About Lilis Medical

Lilis Medical is an African-led health research and advisory organization based in Kenya, working at the intersection of clinical research, implementation science, health policy and health ecosystems.

We assess the readiness of receiving health ecosystems for innovation introduction and generate actionable readiness intelligence to inform implementation and strengthen the conditions for sustainable innovation and population health impact.

Our work brings together scientific evidence, ecosystem assessment, stakeholder perspectives and contextual understanding to examine the conditions that may enable or constrain the successful introduction and sustained integration of evidence-informed innovations in real-world settings.

Dr. Lulu Nyawira Oguda, MD, MPH
Founder & Principal Systems Architect

Dr. Lulu Nyawira Oguda is a physician, global health researcher and implementation strategist with more than 20 years of experience across clinical research, infectious diseases, sexual and reproductive health, health policy and implementation in sub-Saharan Africa. 

Her work spans clinical research governance, evidence generation, implementation science, health systems analysis and policy, with extensive experience working across government, research, development and health-sector partnerships.

Through Lilis Medical, she leads the development of Evidence-to-Implementation Research (EIR™), a methodology designed to prospectively assess health-ecosystem readiness for the absorption, adoption, adaptation and sustainable integration of evidence-informed innovations.
